Clinical Supervision
One of the most beautiful parts of being in the “helper” field is that from day one, we agree to be a lifelong learner. At different stages of our development as a counselor or advocate, we are invited to go on a journey that allows us to be mentored...to be vulnerable in our process of growth with a professional mentor or in group environments, and by doing this, we are reminded how important it is that we are never alone in this work.
Whether this mentorship happens at the beginning of our career, in a season of learning right after school, or later in the work - to join together for long term or for a season, with a clinical supervisor, can help to lighten the load of over responsibility, while bringing encouragement and necessary tools to feel confident that we are giving our clients the best possible care, in any time, or any season.
Another benefit of the Supervision & Consultation experiences offered comes through my nearly 15 years of past work supporting the recovery of sexual exploitation survivors and training of agencies around trauma informed solutions to care. Throughout my work history, whether it be through my extended time in leadership in the non-profit realm, to my work as a therapeutic supports, I am hopeful that the areas of partnership that I have with other helpers will bring strength, confidence and positive change in diverse communities far and wide. Throughout my career, I have tried to live by the value that one should never do this work alone a – So this is my official invitation to join in adopting this value and to join together to strengthen your art of healing into the most powerful resource that it can become..
